About Global Impact Community Service

LPI Global Impact programs offer challenging volunteer experiences in China, Costa Rica and Peru. These culturally enriching programs expose students to challenges the local communities face and allow them to make a positive impact while gaining valuable international experience and service hours. Students immerse themselves in the foreign language and culture through academics, activities, excursions and through their completion of a group volunteer project. Volunteer projects may include physical work such as reconstructing a school or building a playground and also social work such as youth outreach and education. Projects aim to help the local communities and will vary depending on the specific needs at that time. Groups normally consists of no more than 15 students.
